What an AMAZING ride! Katya’s story gripped me with it’s intensity back in 2014, and hasn’t let me go since!
I started writing a story about an actor I was crushing on at the time, just for fun. Having never written before, there was no rhyme or reason to my new obsession. I was book-nabbed. Riveted. Off in a new world that was unfolding in front of my eyes like a movie as I enthusiastically wrote and wrote. Every waking moment that I was not doing life, I was writing. This went on for about 8 months, after which I had a trilogy on my hands.
I found a wonderful editor, and through many sessions, we refined the elements of this steamy story. After more than a year of learning about writing and publishing, I braved the big world of Amazon, and created an author platform where I finally released what I thought was going to be book 1.
The joy of holding a printed copy in my hand is indescribable. There was a lot of screaming, jumping up and down, crying, and calling my mother and best friends.
And then, something unexpected happened. I was studying a course that insisted I needed to give a book away for free. I didn’t understand yet how I could give away something I’d labored so hard on, so I set out to write something new. As I started shifting back into that magical place where stories come from, what I got was a prequel. A beginning to Katya’s story that gripped me just as powerfully…
As I tweaked the edits and finishing touches on this installment, I realized, there is even more, and the saga of this intricate puzzle has me captivated yet again. So I reeled the copy of Katya back from Amazon until I could show you how it all began.
In the meantime, I still wanted to gift you with something that was fun. Sexy. And exciting. ‘Real With You’ was initially my Valentine gift to myself, and now it is a gift to you. Though it is not related with Katya’s story, I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved writing it.
